Uncouched Potato

We saw the name of this track on the map and thought..... Are you serious? Minnehaha Falls at the end of Minni-Ha-Ha Road. All I can say after looking at it was "haha..." We were determined to find out if this is the official name. The name of this reserve is in fact Minnehaha, no joke. It is a beautiful short walking track that ends at the waterfall, Minnehaha Falls. The rain was drizzling while we started our walk. It was a peaceful and easy walk, There was a small river at the beginning of the walk. I guess the water in this river runs to the waterfall. We walked along the ridges on a flat path to a lookout. We could see that the waterfall was positioned at a much lower level than us. I wondered whether we could get to the bottom of the waterfall. I have seen photos taken right next to the waterfall and I was very keen to get there. Not long after, my question was answered. Mount Hay walk is a short walk in the Blue Mountains. There is a long drive on the dirt road (Mount Hay Road) to get to its car park, with bumpy and uneven grounds. At times like this, you will be wishing you have a four wheel drive if you are not driving one. My poor Jetta nearly gave up on a few occasions. There are a few walks along the way and Mount Hay car park is right at the end of Mount Hay Road. Walking up to Mount Hay from the car park is a short and a small climb to the top. It was a quiet walk as we only saw a few people there and most of them were just hanging around the start of the walk. The view along the way was beautiful. On our way driving back we did another even shorter walk to Flat Top. You can see Mount Hay in the distance. A very nice and peaceful day for me. Can't really say that for my car though.
